I have pictures on Flikr but can't get them to show here.
Any IT savvy as to how it's done on this Discussion Board?

I haven't expected to use my winter trike as much. It was just a project following from using two snow stud tyres on an old MTB.

That was scary & still ended up falling off.

The two snow studs are on the front & idler, with a winter tyre on the drive wheel. All run in as Spa advised on tarmac ...

Thanks, enquiry in with Spa, also a positive reply from a Tricycle Association contact in Harpenden.

Spa did a good job with the front wheel build for the trike & I'll get them to rebuild the rear wheels soon once I have sorted out the gears.

Vintage Stronglight Crank Puller

Winter trike project is a trike, it's rideable now.

I need a 23.5mm x 1.5 mm old sized crank puller. Modern 22mm pullers don't fit. Even a TA 23mm would strip the threads.

Stronglight changed about 1982, these vintage cranks are lovely but I need to change the chainrings from 52/43 to something ...

I used Bob Jackson's (off the Leeds ringroad at Bramley) in the autumn to rebuild & respray my veteran trike in a nice crimson enamel.

The trike dates from about 1953 & needed a lot of work & bringing upto date to be a good machine.

Whole process takes time so don't be in a hurry.

Spa in ...

Local Sustrans newsletter (Oct 10th) has good photo album of the difficult accesses due to the "elephant traps" which block access to the cycle paths.
I have contacted the council about them both directly and in feedback at the stand in Parliament Street & the York Rally.Still no reply or action.

I ...

Better in York then Cambridge. I was down there last week, twice nearly hit by cyclists travelling the wrong way in one way streets.

Pinch points frequent with the lanes & barriers/signs. So much street furniture in Cherry Hinton "traffic calming" area to get around. Also their lanes end abruptly ...

What the procedure for veterans?

I'm fettling up my racing trike, it's at Bob Jackson's for major work.

It was way into the 60's when I did any serious time trials down the A1 at Cowthorpe & Blyth in Nottinghamshire early on summer mornings before the traffic.

Any health checks needed? I'm a blue ...

Access is off the path beyond the Tesco towards the A64 but there is a barrier to only allow solos through. I couldn't get the trike past the barrier & neither could a family with a trailer.

Several of the other paths in York have this problem (one onto the Racecourse near the old Terry's & the ...

The "56"Cleats are multiple release, I have the same shoe/cleat combination for my Longstaff trike using single sided FPD pedals to replace clips & straps.

Pulling hard upwards as well as either inwards or outwards twist should release.

As well as cleaning, a bit of lubrication of the pedal ...
