Hi Oli

Good to hear the Spocos have inspired you to do some more TTing. No secret handshakes required for Open events, but you have to plan a bit ahead. Firstly you need to be a member of a club affiliated to the CTT (which Clifton is). Secondly entries for Open events usually close about 2 weeks before the event so allow plenty of time for the post. You need to send your entry on the standard CTT entry form (link here http://www.ctt.org.uk/AboutCTT/RiderInf ... fault.aspx). Sometimes cheques are made out to the promoting club, sometimes to the organiser. If in doubt just leave the payee section blank for the organiser to fill in.
H means the event includes handicap awards
C means the event includes time category awards
If you see SC it means special entry conditions apply

Hope this helps.

What the procedure for veterans?

I'm fettling up my racing trike, it's at Bob Jackson's for major work.

It was way into the 60's when I did any serious time trials down the A1 at Cowthorpe & Blyth in Nottinghamshire early on summer mornings before the traffic.

Any health checks needed? I'm a blue badge holder as I can no longer walk well.
