Club Hill Climb 2010 - Sun 3rd Oct

Post by ClaireG »

Quiet time on the Forum, so thought I'd take the opportunity for a quick plug for the prestigious Club Hill Climb.
A fun event (and serious for some) - come on, round off the season!

Sunday 3rd Oct.
Start: Bishop Wilton at 11am.

The climb is the minor road which goes up from the village X-roads to join the A166. Finish just prior to the junction.

Entries on the line £3 Senior; £1 Junior / Unemployed
Max gradient 20%, distance 1.2 Km

There are several Club trophies up for grabs, but more importantly there is the glory for the winners and respect for all those taking part.

We'll definately expand the prize winners this year, with additional categories for the Club MTB-ers, who have included this event in their Challenge Series: 1st Male MTB; 1st Female MTB; 1st Junior Male & Female MTB

Remember Junior is Under 18yrs and minimum age for CTT-organised events is 12yrs (with signed Parental Consent Forms)

Depart 09-30 from the Square for those riding out together or meet there.

See you there
Claire & Robert

Entry Rules:
1. Max number of riders for CTT-organised Club Events is 40.
2. We’ll give Clifton members priority sign on. This priority will last until 10-40am.
3. Any rider who is a member of a CTT Club is welcome to ride and at 10-40am entry opens to all, up to a max of 40.

Great event this. A really sociable and friendly morning of sprinting up a hill.

The MTB record is actually held by Kieran Smith, a Junior, with 7:15 which was 4th fastest overall in 2008.

Also, if you didn't get a chance to ride the Scotton earlier in the year and are collecting points for the Challenge series this is your final compulsory event to qualify.

Can I do it twice on my MTB and on the road bike?

Mais oui, bien sur!

Infact, I won't apply the one rider / one prize if you manage to win both! :D

I'll save you number 1 to aid a speedy return down the hill for more punishment (sorry fun!)

Cheers
