Fox fork spacer travel adjustment??????????

Post by Allan »

Just recently in either MBR of WMB magazine there was a workshop article showing how to reduce the travel of a F series or Float series fork by fitting fox spacers.
Has anybody got this article or does anybody know of a walk through link on'tinternet?

There's a menu option for instructions on 32mm Travel Adjust. It's actually a lot easier to do than they describe....so long as you kept all the spacers that came with the forks.

Why you selling the Blur?

The forks will be the new F120 rlc qr15 and I want to space them down to 100mm travel so that I can go back to 120mm if I need to.

Just swapping the blur out for something with similar geometry but shorter travel. Had the blur over two years now and just fancy a change.

You'll need;

26mm socket
10mm socket
Spacers (you should have 2 in the box with the forks)
Torque wrench
Fox Fluid
Suspension Oil (whichever weight you're using)
Syringe is handy too or a small measuring pot to measure the new fluid.

The instructions will tell you to install new crush washers but you can get away with re-suing the old ones.
