Advise on servicing

Post by Helen »

My bike needs a service.
Nick can do most things except the suspension which should have been done back before the Scotton. The bike hasn't really been rideable for a while not that it stopped it being used when needed. Cycle heavon have told me that it will need sending back to Scott as they can't do it in-house.
Any recommendations for someone near by who can do this?
I was hoping to use the bike over the xmas holls

Helen,

Depends what needs servicing. If it's the forks you can sometimes service yourself so long as there's nothing serious wrong. You will need to find a service kit though with the necessary seals and crush washers. If it's a rear shock then, as Steph found out, the only people equipped to service Scott shocks is Scott and they aren't quick.

It is the rear shocks and that was the answer I was hoping not to get.
I will send it of in the New Year and hope they have improved their service times.
Glad to hear that you are back on a bike
