Blowing one's own trumpet

Post by Allan »

After slipping out of the office back door while the boss wasnt looking, I got a nice 4.30 start on the red route at Dalby. Exactly 2:09 hrs later I was back at the car feeling pretty pleased with myself after beating my previous fastest lap by 8 minutes.
This goes some way in consoling myself over what has been a pretty dismal summer of performances for me starting from, and including, mountain mayhem.
Just every now and then, and just to make you feel that little bit better, we should all be allowed to blow our own trumpet! :D :D

Great effort Allan. Most people are clocking the 1st section at just over 5mins so if that really is a Car Park to Car Park that puts you on <2:04 for the TT Route. Did you log it?

Allan, I don't think anyone would ever single you out for ever blowing your own trumpet too much. In any case it's always the worst wheels on the cart that make the most noise
