No Harrogate Nova hilly TT this year?

Post by Dave B »

Just been on the CTT website, and it looks as though it's "off the menu" for 2008 - pity, as I know it's been a Clifton favourite in past years, and was hoping to give it a go this spring as I could easily have ridden out to Ripley for the start. It looks as though Harrogate Nova have turned their attentions for that time of year to promoting an afternoon '25' on March 29th around the Ripon-Kirby-Dishforth circuit (aka V262 course). Anyone know the reason for the discontinuation and/or switch? I recall from my own past rides that there were always safety concerns about the A61 junction at Killinghall.

Dave, I don't think it was on last year either. Don't know why officially, although as you say Killinghall was always busy and there are now traffic lights their as well.

Plenty more to go at though. I guess Kevin will publicise the Open Series counters shortly.
