Hopefully most people will have seen Robs suggestions from the Sunday Club run guys, and now having collected information about the local Audax events for 2016, I am in the process of putting the list together including some rides that would be suitable for the Go Ride section.
So with this in mind if anyone as any other ideas/thoughts of what should be included - now is your opportunity to contribute to the Series.
So please let me have your ideas etc by 13th March, so that the list will be as comprehensive as possible to cover all the different members needs.

Hi Bernard
Can I ask, will Wiggy 100 and 3 bridges be part of the challenge series this year? Also, in asking for ideas, what criteria do you have for including rides?
Thanks

Hello Ross
I am sure Bernard will give you his considered response.
I have put a few rides forward over the past few years some have been taken up others were challenged.
So if its something you and others might enjoy but beyond your normal club ride then put it to Bernard.
Some see a mousetrap others see free cheese and a challenge.
Inexpensive and local are other criteria. Its up to us as members to put ideas forward.
Would be good to have input from all the social rides 8.45ers, J, K and A / A*
Tour de Yorkshire and Sportive you have done or thought about doing might be a good place to look for inspiration.

Re: Challenge Series 2016 Road
Having spent most of the past 6 months off the bike and not having any fitness I'm not in any position to lead challenge rides. I anticipate this will change over the summer but I think the series needs to be defined in advance so hopefully some of the current Saturday big hitters can put their Clifton CC heads together and put a few offerings into the mix.
It would be good if the Challenge series could facilitate enhanced links between the various sub - groups that currently form the regular weekend rides.

Keep pedalling!

Re: Challenge Series 2016 Road
First Yes Ros, all the local Audax events including the Wiggy 100 will be included as will be the 3 Bridges ride, what I am looking for is other suggestions for some other forms of ride to be included, especially if they would attract the other elements in Clifton to join in but with some emphasis on rides for the Go ride contingent.
As Steen says we also need to keep an emphasis on cost of entry, which is why I do not include sportives, with the exception of the Pock Pedal.
