Memorial Plaque

Post by Foiegras »

My cousin, Ken Haywood, is a local historian who lives in Bishopthorpe and over lunch on Saturday he talked about a Clifton CC memorial plaque which is in honour of club members who had made the ultimate sacrifice during the 1st WW.
He has heard of its existence and is trying to trace its wherabouts because he has a project to catalogue all local memorials.
If anyone can shed some light on this please contact him directly on kenhaywood@outlook.com
Thanks

The plaque is not owned by the club. The committee was approached by its current owner last year with a view to the club buying it! The owner changed their mind, so the purchase never happened, at least they sent us a photo!!!!
