SPOCO TT Thursday 2 July - Organiser/marshalls & Red Flags

Post by DavidShort »

Many thanks to everyone for last nights SPOCO, ( 18 June). Apologies to John if I was being too helpful collecting signs in Slingsby Hovingham. I may have messed up your post event round up! Also commiserations to Martin for getting a flat. Getting the signs and Martin's bike in the mini was a challenge. Suzie gallantly stayed behind, retreating to the Worsley arms in Hovingham for me to drop Martin off in Sheriff. The beer on my return was good though!

Suz & I are off for the next week, heading to the Dales today in the van with tandem to get some hills in, Buttertubs et al, ready for the Ripon Revolution next Sunday. Interweb access will be limited so I thought I would pitch in now with my plea for an organiser and marshalls for event on the 2nd July.

The spredasheet is almost complete now. If we can sort 2nd July we have a full compliment.

We also appear to be short on red flags. anyone know of their whereabouts? Do we need to get some more?

Once again, well done everyone last night. Have a good one rext week and see you on the 2nd July! :D :D

Kind regards David

Thanks David and to all who organised and marshalled. All very professional as usual and a great, if tough on the legs, evening.
I'm guilty of having a red flag, bringing it last night and forgetting to reunite it with its pal.
There were only two in the set as of the 2nd event this year so a few more would help. I think a few more warning signs are needed as well as I was rationing them previously on the hovingham route.
Congrats again on your retirement - looks like you aren't struggling with ideas to fill your day :D
Cheers. Neil

Aye, more thanks to all who marshalled and an extra thanks to David for the lift home and to Suzie for kindly giving up her place in the car when I managed to puncture! :)
