Rain on Friday night, but looking clear and cold for Saturday morning so should just be wet roads to contend with. Wind coming from the west, so plan to cover the route posted last week up to Easingwold and loop through Boroughbridge and Tockwith. 08:45 start and with 60 miles Square to Square, we should be back in York just after 12:00.

Five in the Square for a prompt departure. All was going well until we got north of Haxby and the roads were still covered in ice. A quick reversal of the route to take us down the Wetherby road and up the A168 to give the sun enough time to melt the ice - we must have been minutes ahead or behind the 09:00 training ride by the looks of things.
Beautiful weather for this time of year, just a shame that we had to stick to some of the bigger roads at the start.
