Annual Awards Evening CANCELLED

Post by HannahW »

You are invited to an evening of fantastic food, superb socialising and celebration with Clifton Cycling Club. Our long awaited ‘Annual Awards Evening’ is fast approaching and we’d love you to join us.

We will gather on the 1st March 2014 at St Michael Le Belfrey church hall right in the centre of town, just off Stonegate, York at 6:30pm. Tickets are £16 and include a two course dinner provided by the fabulous Naught E Food (Blake St, York). This is a ‘bring a bottle’ event, so please bring something you would like to drink on the evening. We are limited to 70 guests and ALL Clifton members are very welcome.

EVERYONE is invited so whether you are a roadie, a mountain biker, a member of Go Ride (parents of Go Riders also very welcome), we would love you to come and spend the evening celebrating everything BIKE!

Dress code: smart/casual.

Get your tickets here: http://www.cliftoncc.org/club_dinner_page

Dear Members,

It is with sadness I have to advise all of you who have purchased tickets for the Awards Evening 2013 that your committee has decided to cancel the event due to lack of numbers, and the fact that we did not wish to run an awards evening with few people to give awards to.

When looking at the list of attendees we realised that only a third of the people down to receive awards would be there and that over 80% of the current membership had decided not to attend.

The committee would like to thank Hannah Weston, Bernard Turgoose and Greg Melia for their efforts in arranging the awards evening and advise everyone who has purchased a ticket for this event will receive a full refund.
