I've had a letter from Tom Pailor, one of the organisers of the Arthur Metcalf Memorial Ride. It's a reminder that the event is on Sunday 23rd September, based around Easingwold.
Also, Tom's doing Lands End to John O'Groats starting on 26th May, due to arrive on 9th June. He's doing the ride to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, and has set up a website at www.jjhardy.co.uk/TTP.htm where donations can be made by credit card. Anyone sponsoring Tom to the tune of £20 or more will get a free entry for the Memorial Ride.
