Etape Pennines - closed road sportive

Post by G. »

There's going to be a closed road sportive in County Durham next October 7th, run by Marie Curie, same as the Etape Caledonia. The Etape Pennines is 78 miles long and costs £61, so pricey but not out of the ordinary for this sorta thing. I can't actually see anything to say where it starts yet! However, it could be pretty good - is anyone else up for it?

60 quid

I think I'd rather give £10 to the Charity and go on one of Rob's adventures. Probably still have change from £17.

Not being anti- Sportive but some of these prices are getting ridiculous for what is just a nice ride with a number on and some cake half way round. 78 miles is hardly what I'd call a Challenge for most of the regulars either.

£61 is certainly a hefty price to pay for a Sportif even if it is on closed roads and some of the money goes to charity.
