Shift that old kit, or those un-wanted presents, or see if anyone else has something you're looking for.

Childrens Bikes for sale

Post by barberj »

I have two 16" wheeled bikes and a 14" wheeled bike that we no longer need.

The first 16" wheeled bike is a Raleigh Krush in pink. This has:

a lighter weight airlite aluminium frame (new models are now steel) so is about 1kg lighter than the new model.
v-brakes front and rear
Single speed

The bike is quite scuffed does not have stabilisers and has lost its chain guard. There RRP was around £130 (the new model is less as its now got a steel frame). Last year I replaced all the brake cables. I also replaced the original tyres with Continental Explorer 1.75" off road tyres. My youngest daughter found this bike much easier to pedal that most comparable bikes. She did ride several 16 mile rides on this bike last year.

The second 16" wheeled bike (purple) is heavier with a steel frame. It is in a better visual shape than the Raleigh. It is not a brand name. Its brakes are old style cantilever and it has no stabilisers. It is still a good bike for a 4 to 5 year old.

Finally the 14" wheeled bike is again purple and made out of steel. This again has cantilever brakes. Though it does need a new rear brake cable. The 14" wheeled bike would suit a child around 3-4 years old.

Make me a offer! I would expect around £10 for the 14" and a bit more for the standard 16" and again a bit more for the Raleigh (around 20 to 30 pounds).
