Training Ride, Sat 21st August
For those of you who aren't stretching your legs on the Sunday Tan Hill ride and/or who still have some races to do this year (or are sneakily putting in training towards the hill climb, which is expressly forbidden in the rules) there will be a training ride heading out at 9am tomorrow. Since asking "where shall we go, then?" on the day usually results in blank stares, I'm suggesting seeing if we can get round the Kirkham / Sheriff / Stillington route which was the scene of so much carnage a couple of months back without falling off this time....
Just me and Tom out at 9am this morning, but a good ride nonetheless. The sun shone, the birds tweeted (in the old-fashioned sense of the word) and we both avoided falling off, breezing through the various crash scenes without mishap. 50 miles at just over 18½mph, Normalised Power 235W and some good shared work into the headwind on the return leg. Bring on those end-of-season races!
