Easy as falling off a bike.

Post by pkolton »

Clearly Rule No 1, and the one I intend to follow, is Don't Fall Off.

But if for some reason you've forgotten that rule, does anyone put any thought into how they would fall off a bike - or just wait and see which bit hurts first?

I came off at very low speed back in September and broke my wrist. Only got back on the back again three weeks ago. I'm pretty sure I remember
thinking "don't put your hand out". But I did put my hand out as I fell sideways resulting in the broken wrist. So should I have been thinking
about keeping my hands on the bars and trying to take the impact on the side of the arm, or something else?

Or as I said, maybe just let gravity take its course and see which bit hurts!

There have been a few posts on here recently about/from people with significantly worse injuries than mine - hope you're all coming on okay.
