Malton Cafe

Post by tomf »

A lighter diversion. I keep stumbling across references to a world-beating cafe in Malton: Leoni.
It's a town oft visited by The Clifton - anyone actually tried this place? Was it as good as they say?

Being from Malton, I can really recommend Leonis. The owner, Simon, has won awards for his coffees. The food is also really good, not that cheap but you get what you pay for.

Are conditions a bit too hostile under wheel to make this a destination for Easy Riders Willy?

We could open up into a v sociable amble over sometime Christmas / New Year

Plus there is always the option of train home if eat too much

This is an excellent plan.
Yesterday a select gruppetto of EasyRiders steered their bikes after a 10am start into the hills for the first time, and were rewarded with a very excellent long lunch at Castle Howard.
And this was not on your carbon or titanium 33 speed electronically shifted 15 pounders, but on sit-up and get those legs working 14 kilo shoppers! Now they want to do all day rides each w/e, and faster too! Where is this going to lead I wonder.
Destination Malton Super-Caf seems a very good plan for next Saturday, we were going to have a taste of the Wolds with Millington treat, but Super-Leoni now gets the vote.
Ride should suit able faster kids with parents in tow too!
