xmas week update

Post by Helen »

Saturday evening Nick ventured into the garage, past the cobwebs and found my bike, where it had been 'resting'since the xmas ride out lunch. He managed to get the chain moving and I managed to fit into my lycra so it was all systems go.
Paul led us(Chris,Will,Philip,Ian and guest) out to Hutton-le-Hole and we took in Surprise view and the ford on the way home. We all enjoyed getting some fresh air and burning of some xmas calories.

Was a good ride and was good to get out and do a long ride and I think my performance has jumped higher since that so almost back up to normal performance, I felt really crap when I got home and I was like "I've not felt this way for ages, this is great".

My fav bit of the ride was going up to Hutton-le-Hole, was a great drag that, then the "surprise view", was nice but abit scary on the way down as my back break did not want to work.

Was 98 miles, the longest ride I've done since 13th or 14th September and planning on going Howards ride next week.
