Intro Chaingang???

Post by AliceS »

Hi everyone

Just wondering if the intro chaingang around Appleton Roebuck airfield will be repeated before summer is gone I know it gave me a good workout last time I went and the advice was great as well. For anybody concerned the roads have not been done recently but are still in good shape and better than the ones in Acaster Malbis. I will be going round the airfield every day anyway on horse duty so I will be free anyday apart from friday, the best days were wednesday and tuesday last time I think.
Bad timing for a posting I'm afraid because I will be on holiday from thursday to tuesday next week :) but just thought we should think about this again as it was a success for everyone (well me anyway).

I'd come if you do it on Thursday (or possibly Wednesday) and it's not raining.

I would also come if I was not in Cornwall for a week but how about having another the week after?

Will, I'm also intending to do the fast Saturday session (providing it's not raining). I shall do it on my summer bike this time and come along expecting to really beast myself. Ok there are times when I've had better fitness than I've got now, but I really didn't expect to be quite so easily ridden off everyone's wheel as soon as the road went up as I was last Saturday. That's it! No more 13 stone for me, after that I'm determined to get some weight off.

I'd like the so called newbie chaingang to carry on a bit, as some of you "newbies" are fitter than me and doing them will help this oldie get a bit fitter.

The fast saturday session is not that fast but then again it must have been too fast for me judging by what happened to me.

Surely loosing weight should be really easy? It was for me even though I still are crap loads, dont understand that, see some people who have been riding road bikes much much longer than me and they are pretty chubby and some are quite fat yet I try keep any weight its just impossible lol, my arms are like sticks now and I hate it, looks weird, and I remember when I used to complain that I find it impossible to loose weight and since febuary I've lost like 2stone.

Blimey you'll be riding off the front then this week - it's gonna be too fast for me :D

I hope to be there Saturday morning, maybe even Thursday (given my sadly reduced fitness atm, you'll have to go easy on me :)

Saturday. Excellent!

Go easy on you though, with climbs , that's a good one

Who's up for Thursday then, say 6.00PM at the millennium bridge (if it's not raining), could do with at least six.
