ALPS

Post by ChrisC »

I am thinking about going to the Alps in a few weeks I was wondering if anyone knows any good B and B style places to stay.

As I have no mates i will probably go by myself so I could do with going somewhere busy.

I was thinking about LEJOG but with this weather forget about it!

Chris

Don't know if this is of any help - it's not something I have had any dealings with but it might be a start

Wherever you end up enjoy the climbs, and the descents even more.

You could see what CTC can offer too. And www.bike-express.co.uk will get you there (at least as far as Grenoble) WITHOUT HAVING TO BOX BIKE! AND LOWEST CO2 EMISSION!
Nearest pickup point is Bramhall near Leeds.

I've used a company called OTP: http://www.otp.co.uk/mtb/ based in Switzerland.

They can arrange as little or as much as you want, ie if you just want accomm they'll do that for you.

I'm off there on Friday for the last 2 weeks of August, 1 week in Zermatt, 1 in Saas Fee. Had a fab time last year with them
