Holiday Reading

Post by PhilBixby »

I've got a couple of books that I've finished reading - if anyone wants to borrow either I'll try to remember to shove it into me bag when I pedal up to the SPOCO on Thursday:-

-Heroes, Villains and Velodromes - Chris Hoy and Britain's Track Cycling Revolution by Richard Moore. Biog of Hoy and analysis of what it took to turn around our track sprinters (answer - a psychiatrist who used to work at Rampton).

-Cycling Past 50 - Joe Friel. Much of the content is repeated in more depth in the Cyclist's Training Bible but there's a bit more about how to combat old age. Not a classic, but not bad. Big print. Would appeal to the more mature rider.
