Dura Ace Chainset

Post by Pete S »

Looking for more advice please, currently Iam running on a cheap Bontrager chainset and i get alot of flex from it. Iam 15 stone so this won't help, so Iam thinking of putting the new Dura Ace on it, would this make a big difference.

Any advice will be great.

Dura-ace is supposed to be very stiff so if this is what you are looking for then it should fit the bill.

The new DA - out in November is supposed to be stiffer (23%??) than the current model....

Or you could try pedalling less hard ;)

I went from a 105 octalink chainset to a Dura ace 7800 (octalink 2) chainset and as soon as i set off i noticed the difference. Well recommended upgrade.

Before you spend the money, are you sure it's the chainset that's flexing?

What's the frame?
