And you know the capabilities of the Clifton CC guys who could be taking part in the event?

Ok. Enough.

Any more windups will be deleted as will replies to them.

If non-members want to discuss the racing, that's cool, but random windups aren't.

Quick race report from last night's TLI at the Bishopswood circuit. Cool, dry, not much wind, six laps giving about 32 miles. Dave Byworth off in the first group, Ian H and me in the second, and Andy Johnno in the scratch group. Plus Will spectating!

Second group worked together pretty well and maintained a relentless 25+mph; both Ian and I stuck in there but I was breathing through every available opening by half-distance. As it was pan flat the gaps were quite big, but it didn't stop the race all coming together during the second half of the fourth lap. Despite some very fast lads in the scratch group, Andy Johnno was dishing out all sorts of mischief up front.

Andy had a go off the front in the last half mile but got swamped by the sprint - still getting ninth. The signposted final 200m seemed like a very, very long 200m! Ian rolled over somewhere around 15th and I was a couple further back. Dave B finished safely in the bunch too. (Not sure about Fury Face, mind...)

Was a good race that, If I had known it was like 14 quid to do it without having a license before the event I might have gone for it, but I enjoyed just spectating going around the oposite way, I tried to maintain a speed of 20mph by my self and did most of the time hitting 30mph apart from going up those small bumps slowing me down to about 16mph as I was getting tired out.

Was really good watching a race for the first time and everybody did good, I should of been cheering the clifton lot on really :p

Hopefully the next one at bishopswood I will be taking part in that, had a nice chat with some of the marshalls and one guy who was in the selby cycling club too.

Whilst looking on Chevin cycles TLI Series website came across the photos from the race around Bishopwood on Tuesday. I know I was out that night but not racing and so was Will but we have both had our photo taken randomly by the event photographer. I must admit I thought I might be on but just thought they would omit them, but No! see below:

Leaving them on is probably a plan to get us to purchase them.

I dunno, I met the clifton lot at the village hall and rode out with them and when they started the race I started doing laps the other way, did about 2 laps then went around the other way as I wanted to see if I could match the speeds of them :p.

Even if it is a plan am well chuffed my picture got put up :D.
