A big thanks to everyone who helped out tonight with a special mention to Andy Fraser and everyone at York Cycle works who organised tonight's joint venture between our clubs. The singning was excellent, especially the countdown markers from 500m. Most inspiring! Well done to the field of competitors which comprised of a good representation from Clifton CC, Cycle works and Malton Wheelers. Excellent to see more juniors taking part and good female representation too. A great night all round. A new venture which I think we can declare a success!

Many thanks from me for the organisation too. That 500m to go board was a lovely sight after that last leg that seemed much harder than it should have done. Also excellent at the first left hand turn where I had to come to almost a dead stop but was warned well in advance by red flags and shouts from the marshalls. And again warned well in advance at the 2nd left hand turn where there was some gravel on the surface.

Hoping I can find a bit more pace before the next one on the same course and get a bit closer to properly competing.
