CTT/club kit

Post by JimWhyman »

Just after some info; I've entered the 10 on the V718 course for folks with a PB slower than 22. I've entered with Clifton as my primary club but I don't have any kit. If I'm accepted to race, do you think the race organisers will let me wear my Aberdeen Wheelers skinsuit as it's all I've got?

Cheers!

Strange but true: CTT rules don't prohibit you from riding in another club's kit. The only big no-no is riding in sponsored kit, if your club hasn't paid the CTT sponsorship levy. Your AWCC skinsuit should be fine.

If you do want to race in Clifton kit, I think Eugene Cross and Pete Hook are both selling their Clifton skinsuits for ~£30. Eugene posted somewhere on here about it, and Pete was going to sell his to me but your need is greater than mine!

Cheers for that! I might save my pennies till next season then and buy a new one. How soon do you normally hear back if you've been accepted to race?

The normal closing date for entries is two Tuesdays before the event, so you'll hear sometime in the couple of days after that. A few events have different closing dates, but will say on the website if so.
