We may get a "relatively" clear run on Saturday morning, although predicted to be quite windy. Will cover the route planned for last week (before the heavens opened) that will give us the tail wind again from the south-west on the way back. 08:45 start, 57 miles square to square so should be back in York at by 12:00.

Hi there. I am hoping to get back into my club riding and this 0845 ride that was bought in seems ideal for me ( not wanting to be out all day etc etc)!
I used to go out with the K ride abit but that was a few years ago now. I have kept my riding up but it is mainly solo rides due to available time etc and working shifts and 2 out of 3 weekends.
My pace is fairly good, I did the amr York 100 mile route at an average of about 17.5 mph and I am sure I can polish up on the group riding fairly quick.
Hope it's ok to join you guys tomorrow.
Sorry Tim J, didn't see your post before the ride. Only Tim R and self in the Square so we deferred to join the training ride rather than fight the wind with just two of us. Great effort by Tim R to keep with it for duration of the training ride having been away for 3 years.
Thanks for Saturday Mike, not just for making me feel welcome but also looking out for me during the ride and staying with me when my legs went a few miles from home!!
Also thanks to the rest of the guys for looking out for me and helping me get back on the group when I lost contact.
Was great being out again and felt completely broken when I got home.
Might not see you for a while now as I only have 1 weekend off until Christmas and that has a visiting friend coming to York.
Thanks again.
