Inters/A-Ride for Sat, Oct. 17th

The forecast is calling for 13C, mainly overcast, ~30% chance of getting wet, with strengthening winds starting from the North and shifting to NE later in the day.

Since we haven't been up there for a while, I was thinking about a loop around Dalby Forest Drive. We'll have to brave some wind going up, but should get a decent tail-wind ride back.

Out via Bossall, Leavening, Settrington, Yedlingham and Ebberston, hitting the cafe at Thornton le Dale.

Return via Kirby Misperton, Amotherby and Coneysthorpe, where we can vote between the Castle Howard and Terrington routes back to Strensall.

I'm open to tailoring the route, and/or other suggestions...

Thanks for posting Tony. Great minds think alike was thinking of Dalby forest myself but not had chance to put on forum. Should be out. The route you have in mind is similar to ones I've always done so will download to garmin.

Good choice, its lovely up there, especially if no cars are to be seen. Looking outside this morning it suddenly dawned on me that the summer is truly over !!
