Weekend roundup, 10/11th Oct

The autumn colours are particularly fabulous at the moment, not much wind yet, so leaves hanging on in there. Just 4 for the Sunday ride, AndyG, Austin, Hooky and self. Standard How Stein Gorge ride, out via Jordans Moss, back via Brimham, Burnt Yates and Pannel. Still and cool conditions made for some great riding on dry roads. Not sure how many more weeks of this we'll get.

Came across a closed road in Tockwith - unveiling ceremony for a monument commemorating a Stirling Bomber that crash landed on the village in Oct 1945. The monument is quite striking: http://www.yorkpress.co.uk/news/1173612 ... ane_crash/

Most of the irregulars are High Roading next weekend. Worth posting on here if you plan a Sunday Ride...

Fancied going to Thorpe Perrow and meeting up with the A riders, I set off early as I have a bad leg and took it steady. A nice day and ride but got to the cafe a bit early so I missed the A riders. I had a good ride back via Grewelthorpe. This was my last ride for a few months as I am having a new hip fitted this week.

Hi Dave,
Good luck with the hip replacement. If you are worried about the weight gain, maybe ask for the carbon upgrade rather than the alloy joint. Marginal gains.
