URGENT - Organiser & timekeeper required - SPOCO TT 11 June

Post by DavidShort »

Hi All,

I'm back from the isle of Man and I see we still need an organiser and timekeeper to ensure the 11th June event can go ahead. Volunteers Please otherwise it will have to be scrubbed. And we don't want that!! :D

I've signed up to help and could probably timekeep with some guidance but don't feel confident to organise yet as I've only participated twice. Hugh

Hi Hugh,
I'm most grateful for the offer to time keep. Suzie says she will help, she is a novice but has served a one event apprenticeship under Bernard's tutorship and is good with numbers and processes so between you I'm sure you will make a good job of it. Many thanks for your offer. I will put you down as timekeeping with Suzie.

So, all we need now is an organiser! I and others who have done the job will be on hand to assist. I would be happy to go round the course helping putting out signs etc. I struggle to organise as I don't have a vehicle big enough to carry all the signs.

Time is getting tight I need an organiser please by tonight.

Kind regards David

I put myself down as timekeeper this morning before reading the posts here. Unfortunately I can't organise this one because I don't have a car but can do any other role required. If there is someone with a car who is a bit apprehensive about organising, I am happy to be their assistant.

Hugh - If you can arrange to collect the signs, I should be able to get to Sherriff Hutton for about 6pm and I am sure that between us, we can get it all set up ok. There's not a lot for the organiser to do during the event itself so I should be able to time-keep as well.

Many thanks Duncan, much appreciated. I believe everything is being held by Martin at his house in Sheriff. Can I put you down as organiser with Hugh to act as timekeeper? Suzie will be available to help also.

Let me know for definite then either you or I can update the spread sheet accordingly.

Once again many thanks for volunteering which will ensure the event will go ahead.

Kind regards David

So long as Hugh is ok to do the driving bits, that is all fine by me.

That's ok for me. I might struggle to make 18:00 at Sheriff - is 18:15 at the top of the hill car park ok?
Do I need Martin's address or can you take me there Duncan?

I'm sure that with 2 of us we can get everything done in 45 minutes so 18:15 should be fine and I've got Martin's address.

No worries, Red flags not required on the Whenby circuit. Bring them along anyway and we can reunite them with the rest of the signs etc.
