Stolen Bike

I had my bike stolen from my kitchen tonight, about 8:15pm, while I was in the living room. I live in the Holgate area. Obviously targeted, bet they saw me washing my bikes at the weekend. So if people can keep an eye out for a 2103 Giant Advanced Defy 1. It's black carbon with white and red insignia. Not sure what condition it'll be in now as, before one of them made off on it, they lobbed it over the 8ft back fence onto the road below as I chased them out into the back garden. Gutted!

Gutted for you mate, was the door locked, more out of interest than anything, I know that some of these scum will happily break a door down but often it is opportunistic!

A heads up for everyone really, check your riding apps as well, make sure you have the security settings on so that it makes it more difficult to locate you and make sure they are well locked up.

Side door to house was unlocked as I was sorting out newspapers for recycling in the living room. Both side and rear gates were locked and take a bit of climbing over. The two latches on the shed door were turned but the lock was still in place, so they'd obviously had a go at that. I reckon if they hadn't gained easy access to the house they'd have bust the shed door and had a look in there. Probably been trying the house every evening since the weekend and last night was the first time the door was unlocked.
