Tan Hill, 31st August

Post by Rob »

Just marking your cards early for this one.
Not an Audax this year - just a clubrun. So no need to enter in advance! For Clifton members and friends.
0730 in The Square. You'll be back there later with 143 miles on the clock.
2-Cafe strategy. 49 flat miles to Leyburn. 45 miles of mountain road including Cote de Buttertubs, Tan Hill and Cote de Grinton Moor, bringing us back to Leyburn. Then 49 flat miles home again.

If you want to ride faster/slower than our Sunday Irregulars, or you want to ride to a different strategy, then feel free! But let one of us know what you're doing so that we don't have to go hunting for you!

Oh, and there's "Challenge Points" on offer.

I have news of something else that may sound tasty!

On Saturday 30th August I am running a cake stall to raise money for deafness research at the University of Sheffield - more details can be found on my other thread. This will be in Askham Richard Village Hall - the perfect location to stop off on your easy spin the day before the Tan Hill ride!

Tea, coffee and cakes will be available from 12 noon - 4pm, in Askham Richard village hall.

Bring all your friends and family :) There's even a pub next door if you want a proper lunch and a pint before coming for cake afterwards! I look forward to seeing as many people there as possible! :)
