Title - Faith rekindled. Cheers.
Hi,
I know this is probably the wrong place top send this but I couldn't find a twitter or FB link. Just wanted to say thanks for re-kindling my faith in Cycling clubs. I've been riding bikes for 40 odd years (since I was 10) . Our local cycling club (based in Middlesbrough) who I run into all the time can't be bothered to muster as much as a grunt when a lone middle aged bloke out on his bike says hello,which I always do,they seem to assume that unless you're one of THEM you've only been riding since Brad won the tour which is obviously b#%^*+ and winds me up and so what If I had been anyway?
I rode past some of your lads today on the way up Blakey moor at the arse end of my hilly 70 odd miler. EVERY one of them said hello or something like as I rode by which was a surprise in a good way. Then obviously they came past me like a train over the moor top but I hung on into Castleton where they stopped at the cafe.haha. But that's by the by. Congratulations on having a proper club. Obviously good riders but good blokes n'all.
More power to Clifton CCs elbow,if you were nearer I'd join in a flash. And I've sent something similar to Cycling Weekly but let's not hold our breath eh?
