Thanks to all who selflessly forewent the football to help out and ensure that this went ahead (although they probably saved themselves a miserable evening in :D )
Keep pedalling!

It was a great evening to be marshalling - calm, dry, the view from the top of Terrington Bank, and no football. It's always fun being around these events - you get such a wonderful mix of people show up. We had a spread of ages from a lass in her teens through to a very serious-looking DaveC in pointy hat and too-tight-to-stand-up-in skinsuit. Plus a fella on a fairly solid-looking road bike with mudguards, a mudflap the size of a shovel and a hub dynamo. (As it happened I caught him fairly early on the way home into York, thought "poor fella, he's already done a hilly TT" and pulled past so he got my wheel. About two minutes later he was in front doing a turn, and we did Sheriff cricket club to town at a steady 21+mph...).

Come on people - please can we have volunteers for the rest of the series without the weekly "Tuesday pleas" and constant stressing about whether upcoming events need cancelling. They're good fun, but just need a bit putting into them. Link to volunteer spreadsheet is in the weekly email.
