Etape De Yorkshire - 8th June

Post by John B »

Hi.
For any club members who are riding the Etape De Yorkshire on the 8th June & want to ride as a group.
I think so far they is: Graham, Jon G, Kevin N, Dave W & my self.

We have to enter as one team, so we all start in the same group.

I have set up a team on their web site as CLIFTON C C with a pass word of KEVIN

See last weeks weekly update email on how to adjust your details.

Regards

John B (Saturday A ride)

Thanks, John. Darren N and myself are going too.

In case others can’t find the email John refers to sent on the 16th May, it said:

“1. Can I start with my friends/club mates?
Yes, you can do it yourselves by editing your entry via your riderhq.com entry, details of which you will have received as a confirmation email when you registered.
On that email is a direct link to your entry, click on that link and then click edit entry, enter a team name in the club/team field at the top. “

Looking forward to it. :D

A family commitment has emerged on Sunday which unfortunately means I can no longer do this ride. I would rather offer this unique opportunity to a Clifton member than hand it back to the organisers. This ride has been sold out for months and is a unique opportunity to ride the first stage of the TdF from Leeds to Harrogate with 1,000 other riders. I'm happy to give this spot up for free, I'll leave it to the nominee to decide whether to ride it in my name or negotiate a name change with the organisers. You can certainly keep any momentos. 9 other Clifton members are also doing it. If anyone wishes to take up this great value, last minute offer, please PM me and I'll give you the details. Btw, it's a WIGIG offer - ie. when it's gone it's gone!

Thanks
Darren

I have booked a taxi/minibus to go from Leeds station to the start at 07:40. If anyone else was planning to use the train, let me know as I am sure there will be room for more than one bike.
