Race Licence

Post by mcaley »

Hi guys,

I have rather belatedly decided I need to get racing this season, and therefore need to get a licence. However, as there are only really 3 weeks left, will it arrive in time to be worth the money? How long does it take for the licence to come through? Is there a way of signing onto a race as a licence holder without actually having the physical licence?

Cheers,

Mike

Hi Mike

You can enter with a day licence, which you (as the name implies) pay for on the day - cost varies depending on what sort of BC membership you have (if any) but is £0-£10, in addition to the normal entry fees. There are a few BC road races in September - and I'm not sure what's lined up at the York Sport circuit - but you've certainly missed the bulk of this year's fun. Most late season races will be fully subscribed but you'll often get an entry on the day as people fail to show up due to fatigue / injury / CBA / moving up a category or whatever.

Hope that helps
