Hi All
Anyone else doing this:

I've been talked into to taking part by some friends from the North East. They seem to believe that I'll know the best route and of course I have no idea.
Anyone have any good routes?
Thanks
Martin

Cheers guys
Found one on map my ride that looks quite good.
I've only just found out that this is, in fact, a race. The clue is in the title I suppose. I thought it was a sportive-type thing.
The A169 is off limits. One of the few rules.
My team are from the North East so I'd prefer to let them see a bit more of our beautiful county than they would from an A road.
I suppose the questions should have been - is there anywhere that should be completely avoided? ie pothole strewn descents, 30% climbs, etc?
cheers

Hi, yes, I am doing it with Here Come the Belgians. A little shocked to discover they are talking about 130miles which means one of the checkpoints must be away from the direct route between York and Whitby. It is a bit odd they are holding back the info until the last minute so we can't plan a route - it's not the Polaris!
Are you with GAN (on) then?

Hi Martin
We are a mixed group as well, not looking to win. This is the route Paul Goulden had done for us, avoiding main roads but still only 114 miles which is what made me think there might be an extra checkpoint somewhere on't moors.

Should be interesting!
