:-). Thanks Gill,

It was a hard day for racing, some tough winds, so no PB, (I can ride faster on that course!). Plus I did Clumber Park Duathlon the day before, so feeling that a bit in my legs.

A good clifton turn out and we won the TEAM BRONZE MEDAL!

Philip Graves won in 21:03

clifton cc
Michael Schofield: 23:26
Jess Bacon: 24:07
Mark Antrobus: 25:49
Jason Drake: 28:27

Also, Nathan Veal took the junior title with a 23:11

Michael and Mark: we three made up the team prize - I have your medals so will bring to next event.

That's cheered me up. Well done Jess.

I should apologise for skulking off and missing the presentation. Its a poor show if your own club mates can't stick around to support you.

To be honest was a bit disappointed with my ride and was going out for lunch in town so headed home

The whole event was superb. Well organized with plenty of marshals. Andy J was pushing off. Results on projector at finish and top spread for second breakfast.

The old A1 is a great resource on our doorstep. Safe as houses with little traffic, good road surface, wide carriageway with clear sight lines. Maybe we should relocate our 10?

The bad news is time trialling is obviously not a priority for Clifton despite its past glories - just think if Phil and Nathan were still Clifton 1st claim we might have ended up with full house!

Yes, sorry I wasn't there either Jess. I parked at lay-by and couldn't get the car open when I got back after he race because the electrics had gone a bit mad. Once I'd got in I just headed home.

Great ride though. I noticed you are in the Nat 10's , good luck with that.
