Sunday club run - 24th March

Post by SimonW »

Hi all,

This Sunday is another MTB club run day.

Meeting at Sutton Bank visitors centre car park (£3ish) at 10am

I will be leading the intermediate ride, pace and distance will depend on the weather and group but a maximum of 35 miles and bring enough food for the day.

I would like a volunteer to lead an easier ride.

Please post if you are joining us.

Hi Simon,
I'd be an obvious candidate to lead a Steady Group (after last week's cancellation) and would have been happy to.
But unfortunately the mountain bike is out of action for a couple of months.

Enjoy it. Your ride from Sutton Bank last year was epic and is thoroughly recommended! 8)

I would like to join in for a steady ride, as i have primarily been a roadie since last summer its been a while since i've been on my MTN bike(2010).

i know this may come across as a daft question, but would my Road winter gear be alright? or is it likely to be restrictive? if so which item would you recommend i try and avoid for the day.

Regards

Joe

Hi Dr Joe,

I wear MTB stuff to go on the road bike so I guess it would work either way.... as long as your warm and comfortable who cares, its not fashion parade!

WHats the plan for tomorrow with the weather?

Dear all,

Had a chat with Wayne and also had a look at the Gliding club web cam.

http://www.ygc.co.uk/webcam.php

There is enough snow to make riding difficult so I propose a change of location to Low Dalby at the same time 10am.

There is no snow in Dalby at all!

Cheers and see you all tomorrow.
