I fancy doing one, maybe modify the route, straight up to Boltby and straight back to York from Hovingham? Challenge points?

I'd be up for doing it as Dave suggests but can't do Sundays as Rugby season will have started.

Must be worth 3.5 points.....

I was disapointed this is now not going to be on. However maybe its an oppertunity not to spend £27. We could do the same route's more or less from Thirsk or Hemsley. You have free parking in Thirsk on Sundays from the long stay and up to £5.70 all day in Hemsley. Hemsley will have more cake oppertunities.

If the feeling is doing somthing from the square then a big ride of 130-40 miles might not suit everyone who was planing on doing this.
We could do a route up and doun the Hambleton Hills a bit like Robs Spiro.
About same distance
I can think of a route to take in 6 banks White Horse Boltby Hornby Scawton Wass and Ampleforth pluss back via Yeardsley. Which would not mean going down any you had gone up. Maybe thats for another year !

Would be a shame not to do anything. Away on holiday tomorrow back in a week.

Yes, I'll join you for anything Rumble-ish in terms of distance, climbing, timing and points.

(110 miles over a hilly course in early September for 2 hard-earned points).
Any more riders?

I'd be up for the ride as well :) Remember that the Tan Hill ride is August 26th I think.

This is my route idea for the ccc rumble, it includes part of the original route via cockayne. As the ryedale rumble a shorter route could go straight to Hutton from the top of Blakey bank.

Would 1st Sept be a suitable date?
