Clifton rider seen in shorts

Must be getting warmer, riding through Bishopthorpe today a Clifton rider sped past us on a Cervelo the first cyclist I've seen in shorts this year

Ermmm yup it was me - thought I might get a proposal if I got me knees out. I was wearing armwarmers and full gloves though!

you dont even race in shorts unless its after June or before September and over 25 deg C, Phil. Presume yer leg warmers were in the wash or you could only find one?

It was just a wild, irresistible urge to get 'em out. It was, to be fair, ten degrees. In comparison with weather on recent training rides it was shockingly warm. But I promise I'll cover up again in company.

My God. I'm still in 3 layers on top, 2 on legs and overboots. Thereagain The speed I'm riding it's the only way to keep warm.
