Re results - I've posted all I have at the moment.

I've got a query in with BC regarding other placings and will either post here or ask a mod to place it on the website as / when I get it.

Jason.

Thanks to everyone who helped put this together - very well organised and not to be under-estimated. Sorry I wasn't able to hang around and help after the 3/4 event - I came down heavily on the Goodramgate left hander and cracked my elbow. How did the rest of the Clifton group get on? would love to hear about your experiences. Simon

Just another postscript and another well done. I managed to see this years races along with my family and in laws and thought it was an excellent event. Well organised, good demanding circuit and a fantastic spectator spectacle. Well done and keep it up. When is the next one!! Almost tempted to start racing again enjoyed it so much.

Just a very quick report back following the post-event feedback meeting with the council, BC and others.

General pat on the back to everyone involved - lots of positive feedback from all sorts of sources. Noticeable that even the comments following The Press website report were generally positive - absolutely unheard-of. A few points:-

-Funding is secure for next year, so date will be set soon and it'll be got on the BC calendar. This means we have a whole year to properly prepare, instead of a month's panic.

-Efforts will be made to develop stuff like the Latin Festival in order to make the whole thing more of a destination for a great afternoon/evening out.

-The BC staff were amazed that as a club of nearly 300 members, we struggled to provide marshals and staff the HQ... (but they noted that those who were there did a great job!).

...and just an interesting point about the level of the various races. The Elites put in a few very quick laps at around 1min13sec, but for much of the race even the leaders were circulating at a bit over 1min30sec. The quickest of the Youth A/B's were going faster than this, and the 3rds/4ths were generally within ten seconds of the elites too. Full marks to everyone who had a go.
