Hi All,
Right the Howgills trip is rapidly approaching!
As previous mail Sarah and I will be cooking in the Saturday night. Please can you let me know if you are vegetarian or if you have any other dietary requirements. We have slightly more people than originally budgeted for, so the money you've allready paid will cover saturday night's food and some booze.
Also would it be possible to have some volunteers for puddings? Judging by pudding consumption last weekend (you know who you are) we might need quite a lot! If you can let me know.
It's a large group, so we've decided to split the ride into 2 fast groups and a slower group. I've not planned anything on the road side, but i'm sure we can plan a good route over a beer on Friday. If anybody has OS maps of the area (OL2 and OL19) please can you bring them along.
I'll be there from 6PM. Let me know if you are going to be there earlier and I'll arrange for you to get the key.
My number is 07718000000, if you need to give me a call.
Great! Look forward to seeing you all on Friday!
Cheers
Ian

Hi All,
Right only 4 weeks to Howgills weekend - How time flies!
So the plan is to arrive on Friday evening, leaving on Sunday.
Food wise. Plan A for Saturday night is a BBQ if the weather is agreeable alternatively plan B is the tried and tested Chili. Either way there will be veggie and meat options. Sarah and I are happy to cook. The rest of the time I think it will be easiest if we all fend for ourselves. There are plenty of nice pubs/takeaways in Sedburgh, 10 mins walk from the bunk barn. There are also two kitchens in the barn, if people wish to cook for themselves.
As for the riding there is road and mountain bikers going and the mountain bikers will be split into two groups (one fast and hilly, the other a little more relaxed
) Wayne and I are busy planning some routes.
Unless requested linen is not included so you'll all need bedding and towels.
The Bunk Barn is situated just outside Sedburgh. It's postcode is LA10 5BA, although take care when using sat-nav - mine failed spectacularly last time I went there! Look for a small track that runs up the side of Westwood Books at the east end of the high street. There is a small sign to the bunk barn, but it is easily missed. The Bunk barn is 500 yards up this track. There is plenty of parking.
Any other questions give me a shout. My number is 07718000000, if you need to give me a call.

Hi guys and girls,
I will be venturing out too with you all too....
Does anyone have a spare seat in a car, I would offer to drive but Mini's dont really have much room, the bike rack doesnt agree with the flimsy rear bumper with more than one bike on....
PS if your setting off later that would suit me, I dont finish work till 5pm!
