New rider and HELLO

Post by FlowRider »

Hi all MTBers, im new to the forum and yet to join the club aswell. I live in York and looking for riding buddies as its get bit boring riding on me own, sometimes :D . Im not really a XC rider more trails and freeride with some DH in there too, i dont have a car wich makes it very dull and limited where can ride. I used to live down south where there was plenty to ride, with out a car  but moved back up here early last YR and although there is nice places to ride, i need to travel to them so for time being until i get a car does any one here do any local rides in and out of York? and ive seen there is a Wednesday rides from the club? would it be ok to to turn up to one of the rides without joining right away?.

Hi, yes sure, turn up and try it out! There are rides every Wednesday evening and a week Sunday is a whole day ride. Keep your eye on here for details!

Hi Roshan thanks for the welcome and yeah i shall get out on the Weds ride soon. Yeah i can string along a good 15 maybe 20 miles local ride as know mosty pathway, bridles ways and other places to ride so i can make a route to ride. So if fancy local ride gimme a shout im more than happy to show yourself or anybody else some thing to ride, mixture off dirt and tarmac though. Also im heading to Knaresborough maybe this Tue there few places to ride there.

Yes I cruise quick but mostly when i go down i go fast haha love it :), BUT dont worry i would go the speed you do ok so its not a prob, i go slow uphill :( though as i dont ride a XC bike.

So if do fancy a ride around to keep fit etc let me know.

Cool :-)

I forgot I had a bike rack in the loft, it was for a hatchback, but I tried it yesterday and it it fits my car :D

So I can give you a lift on the Wednesday runs if you want to come. I'm on Lawrence street, you near there?
