sat ride

Thought I'd best get our Sat ride post in before it pales into insignificance compared to the Sunday Club run..........but I shall leave that tantilizingly
there as it is not my tale to tell.......!
Bernard led John C, Dr Dave and self round a great 60 mile route to the south for a change, again on roads we know from experience to be gritted. A little extra care and attention to normal and no issues.
We all agreed that despite the low temperatures it was good to get a 4 hour ride in, on what was otherwise a perfectly clear, sunny and again, predictably low traffic day out of the shopping centres.
Hitting Howden too early even for us to stop for a cafe (!), we pedalled on to Carlton and the little known Too Hoots Cafe for a well-earned warm. Back from Carlton across to the A19 south of Selby and then followed the B road via Wistow and Cawood back to Fulford.
Not necessarily rides you want to do solo, so great to have good company.
Cheers!
