Arnie's progress...

Post by Rob »

You'll remember how Arnie broke his neck in a crash in April (I'll certainly never forget...) Anyway, met him in Asda cafe today. He's had the bones in his neck all bolted together and, while he still has a tendency to walk like C3PO, looks much more comfortable then when I last saw him. Says the surgeon has just given him the green light to get back on his bike! Flat bars and mirrors will be the order of the day. Great news.

That is good to hear. Have only met and spoken to him a couple of times myself and were left inspired everytime.

Yes,it's nice to hear that Arnie's making good progress as I've been wondering how he is getting on and it's good to hear he can now start to ride a bike again.

Arny - update

Post by pearsarn »

Just saw Rob's comments about my neck problem and the follow ups -
thanks Rob for your good wishes and to everyone who has wished me
well over the last 6 months. It's nice to know friends are thinking about you when you are feeling low. I hope to get back on the bike as soon as I have got myself a new helmet and to start the long process of getting fit again. My target is the Thursday night competition starting next May, but who knows. One step at a time.
