Seaside anyone?
0900, The Square.
Aim to be back in daylight, but lights would be prudent, just in case.

I'm tempted. Do you think I'd cope?

Depends if 'Shaun the Merciless' decides to put the hammer down on the front - and when doesn't he!!
Judging by your form on the night rides, I should think that you'd cope with this route / anticipated pace just fine G. And don't worry, regrouping stops are carried out whenever necessary; you'd never be abandoned on the Moors, or anywhere else come to that, unless you wanted to be of course!

See you Saturday
I think its great that we have lots of different sorts of rides in the programme to cater for different sorts of riders. Howard likes to describe his ride as "spirited" and the score is plain for all to see from, as Skymoos put it, those "Garmin thingies"... You pays your money and you takes your choice.

The other choice is the Sunday clubrun where we try and teach a different code of riding. It's still an athletic adventure, but a team sport.
1. Regrouping stops should be few as it's everyone's responsibility to ride at a pace where all can keep up. Progress is most efficient when the weakest riders are kept in the wheels, not battling the wind 20m or more behind. So we expect a tight group on the flat and small to medium hills.
2. On the big hills its most efficient for everyone to ride at their own pace, but it is the responsibility of those reaching the top first to wait, not those getting there last to catch up.
3. We try to look after each other, and if those on the front are oblivious to the distress behind then they are told!
4. I'm very unlikely to leave you behind, even if you say you want to be.

Anyway, enough rules and regs. I have a yen for Scarboro' on Sunday. 100miles. Out through Troutsdale, back through Forge Valley. I'll be on the cog, so I'll steer us round the 25% gradients. Bring lights and mudguards!
