Thursday night round up

I did the last EYRRL at Little Weighton last night. No other Clifton representatives on this occasion. 4 laps of a 7 1/2 mile course. Fine, slightly windy evening. Set off in second group. We stayed away from scratch group. Nice wides open road lent itself to some good thru and off work. We even managed to reverse this to go round anti-clockwise into a crosswind. When this was initially suggested there some headscratching and the pace maddeningly dropped for a miute or before we got organised. Some reasonably testing drags in places to make it interesting. Boiled down to bunch sprint . I discovered that being in second place with 600metres to go on left hand side of road not a good place when attack came on far right (you have to have second sight or more likly just plain old experience). Anyway was subsequently enveloped by bunch on run in and finished in the very, very minor placings. Good fun nonetheless.
