Upcoming TLI Races

Have had a request to pass on info on a couple of things:-

-Marshals are needed for the TLI Bishopwood race on Tuesday 20th July. If you were planning on coming down to watch anyway, or just fancy helping out at a race to see what goes on, then please contact Cliff Beldon at ringer31@btinternet.com

-Entries are invited for the TLI National Road Race Championship which will be held on the Adborough circuit at Boroughbridge on Sunday 15th August. Info at http://www.theleagueinternational.com/yorkshire.htm

Is anyone else planning to do the TLI race on 15 August? Is anyone familiar with the Aldborough circulit and if so what is it like?

Hi Cam

I won't be riding it but the Aldborough circuit will be the one used for the Chevin series. Starts in the little lane just on the very southern edge of Boroughbridge; heads left (southwards down the A168) with a steady gentle uphill over the finish line, flattens out and dips before a very sharp LH turn onto a wiggly lane that bounces up and down across to the B6265 where descends to left again, then the rolling gentle ups and downs before the climb up into the south end of Aldborough (still big ring) and left back to where you started. It's a nice circuit - not too hilly, safe wide road for sprints finish, lumps and bumps where a break can get away.

I was a marshal at the last TLI round Bishopwood. You won't get an easier race to marshal, honest , very little traffic and I'm pretty sure Cliff will never return your entry to any race he organises if you help him out (disclaimer, I could be wrong, I often am).
I would help but I've entered to ride, yes I'm actually racing!
Somebody in the club must be willing to help out, go on give Cliff a bell.
