Hi Gill

I can't be there much before 9:30. AFAIK there should be at least 4 of us - but the more the merrier!!

I need to be back for 2:30 ish - weather looks OK. How about Otley?

Four of us this week - Mark, John, Gill and myself - headed up the A19, across to Ripon via Aldwark bridge, up to Studley Royal and then down for lunch at the tea-rooms at Ripley. In Shaun's absence John did a more than passable imitation of a proficient bunch-engine and demonstrated his prowess at track stands to boot - methinks he's spent more time at this cycling lark than he's let on thus far ;)

Having announced that Jacket potato with beans was the sensible carbs option I then went and chose sausage in yorkshire pudding with onion gravy - and then compounded the crime by sharing a treacle tart with Mark!!

The wind was behind on the way back and we made good progress via Knaresborough, Cowthorpe, Walton, Wighill and home for almost 70 miles at 18mph average.

Another really enjoyable ride, perfect weather and some unfamiliar roads for me.
After being conned into the "healthy" jacket and beans by Dr Dave, all was put right by the shared pud.
Then to top off the day I returned home to find my shiney new pedals and Shoes had arrived, along with a free bag of sweeties in the parcel (bonus!!).
Thanks to all for a really top notch ride, John for making me sweat, Dave for keeping me slim and Gill from keeping us boys in check.
Mark.

I did at first, what with all the excitement. :-)

Yes Wiggle indeed.
Only a 10p bag of jellies but most unexpected and just the kind of post ride extra snackette I was craving.
